Who We Are

I'm a woman with brown hair and brown eyes smiling at the camera.

Rebecca (Becca) Noonan, PT, DPT, MFDc, BRM received her BA in Psychology from Oberlin College in 2008, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University Physical Therapy Program in 2016.

Becca was an active child and young adult, but experienced a lot of joint pain, instability, and movement anxiety. It wasn’t until Becca was in her graduate program that a professor suggested that she see a physician for recurrent joint instability and dislocations as well as full body pain and dizziness. At 28 years old, Becca was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and started modifying her focus in school and beyond to help other people manage their symptoms and improve their ability to adapt to the inherent challenges of living with hypermobility, and accomplish their goals.

Becca is passionate about collaborating with her patients to improve function and return to full participation in their lives and sports. She has taken continuing education courses on advanced manual techniques including abdominal soft tissue mobilization, Myofascial Decompression (Cup Therapy) and joint mobilization, post-concussion evaluation and treatment, run assessments, and development of strength programming, as well as in the Barbell Rehab Method.

Becca’s areas of interest include working with individuals who have had limited benefit from other treatment types and styles, individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and other hypermobility disorders, athletes of all types (traditional, circus, tactical, industrial, and fighting, as well as any other ways folks self-identify), and individuals with acute and chronic pain which limit their ability to live their lives on their own terms.
